Setting up a proxy server on macOS devices
- To access System Preferences, simply click on the Apple icon located at the top left corner.
- Choose the Network panel icon.
- Pick the Wi-Fi network you wish to set up, and afterward, click on Advanced located at the lower right corner.
- Choose the Proxy tab and mark one or more of the checkboxes below:
Web Proxy (HTTP)
Secure Web Proxy
(HTTPS) SOCKS Proxy
- In the Web/Secure Web/SOCKS Proxy Server section, input the details of the proxy server.
- For each configuration, specify the address and port of the proxy server.
Proxy: stableproxy.com
Port for HTTP/HTTPS: 11000-12000
Port for SOCKS5: 11000-12000
- If you have entered a username and password for the proxy server, remember to enable the "Proxy server requires a password" option.
- Once you've activated the option, input your username and password.
After you've finished all the configuration steps, click OK to confirm, and then click Apply to apply the settings and activate the proxy.
That's it! You are now successfully using a proxy.
Removing proxies
To return to the default proxy server settings, make sure all the
◻️ checkboxes are unchecked.
