Setting up a proxy in Telegram: step-by-step instructions for users

This technology has become popular in many areas, and millions of Internet users use it every day. One of the world's most popular messengers, Telegram, has not been spared this technology.

What is a proxy in Telegram?

In the 2020s, this messenger has become much more than just a simple messaging service. Today, it has the status of a real social platform where you can communicate, blog, join various groups, quickly find out news, share photos and other media files, even very large ones, and store data. Few people know, but it also supports the proxy function, which is optional but can be very useful for many users. To set up a Telegram proxy on a PC, you need to:

1. Open the application on your computer.
2. Go to ‘Settings’ and select ‘Advanced’.

3. Click on the standard connection type (TCP).

4. Select the Use my proxy option.

5. Enter the required server data (address, port, login, password) and save it.
