Прокси для Tor

Why use a proxy for Tor?
Despite the extensive capabilities of the browser, connecting to a proxy server before directly connecting to Tor can significantly enhance user protection. This solution allows achieving the following objectives:
- Hide information regarding the use of the Tor browser. There are cases when the use of Tor is prohibited by the provider, specific organizations, or authorities. Connecting directly makes the connection visible. If you connect via a proxy, the traffic will be masked by rerouting through an intermediate server. As a result, it creates the impression that the user is working with a regular browser.
- Increase the level of anonymity. Using Tor itself provides protection by encrypting traffic in multiple layers. A proxy adds another intermediate layer between the user and the network. Even if someone attempts to deliberately track your traffic, they will only see a connection to the proxy server, not to Tor. A high level of anonymity is especially important for users from countries with strict censorship, human rights defenders, journalists, and many others. Thanks to the proxy, even in case of attacks or data leaks, anonymity will be preserved.
- Circumvent blockades/firewalls. Using a proxy will allow you to use Tor wherever you are. This enables connection even where Tor is restricted by router settings or blocked by DPI filtering.
- Spoof geolocation data. Although Tor changes your geolocation data during use,
Features of use
To enjoy all the benefits of a proxy for Tor, you need to know how to configure a proxy in the Tor browser. We offer a simple step-by-step guide:
- Open Tor.
- Click on the “Menu” icon in the top right corner, then select the “Settings” section.
- Choose the “Connections” section, then scroll down to the “Configure proxy access to the Internet” block. In this block, select “Configure”.
- Enter the data of the proxy server you are using. You will need to choose the type (SOCKS5/HTTP), specify the IP and port, and if necessary, enter login and password for authentication. All essential information can be obtained from your provider.
- Save your settings, then restart Tor.
To verify that the proxy is working, open Tor and go to any IP checking website. The displayed address should be that of the proxy server, not your real one.
For the proxy to work correctly and perform all its functions, choose a reliable provider.
